A 4 part carbonless form is a multi-ply paper set (4 sheets) coated with chemical micro-capsules (CB coating) on the back of each sheet and a color-developing (CF) coating on the front of the next sheet. When pressure is applied — by a pen, impact printer, or typewriter — the capsules rupture, creating a colored image on the CF layer. Part 1 is the original, and Parts 2, 3, and 4 are progressively lighter but fully legible copies. No carbon paper is needed.
Our standard 4 part carbonless forms come in 8.5"×11" (Letter) and 11"×17" (Ledger) sizes. Custom dimensions from 5.5"×8.5" up to 17"×22" are available. Standard ply colors are white (Part 1), yellow (Part 2), pink (Part 3), and blue (Part 4). Custom color sequences (e.g., all white, green, etc.) can be produced with a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 50,000 sets.
For standard 4 part carbonless forms, the MOQ is 10,000 sets per design. Lead time is 12–18 working days for production, plus 12–18 days for ocean freight to USA (FCL/LCL). Air freight options can reduce transit to 5–7 days. OEM/custom designs: MOQ from 20,000 sets, lead time 20–25 working days.
We use high-grade CB (coated back) and CF (coated front) chemistries sourced from tier-1 global suppliers. Every production batch undergoes TAPPI T-552 image intensity testing and a 50-sheet handwrite/impact test. Our pass threshold is ≥95% legibility on Part 4 — exceeding industry average of 85–90%. We also offer a free sample pack so you can validate runnability on your own equipment.
