"3 part NCR" refers to a three-ply carbonless paper set — Ply 1 (CB - coated back), Ply 2 (CFB - coated front and back), and Ply 3 (CF - coated front). When pressure is applied (by a printer pen or dot matrix head), micro-encapsulated dye transfers from the CB layer to the CF layer, creating identical images on all three sheets without carbon paper. Common for invoices, shipping manifests, and medical forms.
3 part NCR rolls are designed primarily for dot matrix printers (impact printers) such as Epson LQ series, IBM ProPrinter, OKI Microline, and Fujitsu DL series. They are not compatible with laser, inkjet, or thermal printers — the image transfer requires physical impact. For thermal printers, we offer thermal transfer labels. Always verify your printer's paper path thickness capacity (max 0.3 mm for 3-ply).
Standard roll widths: 76 mm, 89 mm, 102 mm, 127 mm, 152 mm, 184 mm. Roll lengths: 50 m, 60 m, 80 m, 100 m. Core sizes: 12.7 mm (½") or 25.4 mm (1") ID. Custom widths from 44 mm to 220 mm available with 7-10 day lead time. Packaging: shrink-wrapped bundles of 50 rolls, or bulk cartons of 100 rolls. Ask about custom boxing.
