A 3-part carbon copy form (also called NCR or carbonless form) consists of three sheets of paper coated with micro-encapsulated dye. When pressure is applied (by writing or impact printing), the capsules break, transferring the image to the sheets below. It creates three simultaneous, legible copies without loose carbon paper.
