Carbonless paper (also called NCR — No Carbon Required) is a coated paper that transfers markings from the top sheet to the sheets below without carbon paper. Micro-encapsulated dye (CB coating) on the back of the top sheet reacts with a clay coating (CF coating) on the front of the next sheet when pressure is applied — from a pen or printer. This creates a permanent, smudge-resistant copy. It's the standard for multi-part business forms.
Carbonless paper uses a chemical color reaction to create copies without heat or ribbons. Thermal paper turns black when heated (used in POS receipts, labels). Carbonless is ideal for multi-part forms (invoices, delivery notes) where you need 2–6 identical copies. Thermal is single-copy only. Kingcolor manufactures both — so we can advise you on the best solution for your application.
We offer carbonless paper in sheets (letter 8.5"×11", legal 8.5"×14", A4, and custom sizes) and rolls (2"–18" wide, custom lengths). Common formats include blank sheets, pre-collated sets, micro-perforated forms, and padded receipt books. We also manufacture custom colors and watermarks for branded forms.
For standard carbonless rolls (2–6" width), MOQ is 500 kg (approx. 1,000 rolls). For sheets and custom formats, MOQ is 1,000 kg. For large-volume orders (10+ tons), we offer tiered pricing with additional discounts. We can also start with a trial order of 200 kg for first-time customers to validate quality.
