2 part carbonless printing uses NCR (No Carbon Required) paper coated with micro-encapsulated dye. When pressure is applied (by a printer or pen), the capsules break and transfer an image from the top sheet (CFB) to the bottom sheet (CF). It creates a duplicate without messy carbon paper.
